Chapter 13 (Cole's pov)

I can't believe I made her have a panic attack last night when I woke up this morning and went to have breakfast and didn't see her or Katie at the table I panicked and thought she might of packed up and left so I texted her to find out where she and Katie were so I could talk to her and get her to come home to me and the response I got made me relax now I am waiting patiently for them to get home so me and lily can talk I really hope she says yes to going out with me it's been an hour since she texted me and she still hasn't come home just as I am about to text he again I hear Katie come running in and lily telling her to go work on her homework for school tomorrow and when lily is about to pass my bedroom door to get to her room I grabbed her arm and pull her in and she let's out a little yell and when she realizes it was me she relaxed in my arms and when Katie asked Katie: mom are you ok lily replied with lily : yeah babygirl mommy is ok I'll be in the roo. soon I just got to do something will quick Katie: ok mommy and then I shut the bedroom door and I still hang lily back to my front and she leans further into me and that is how we stood there for a moment and I wished time would have stopped in that moment just so I could hold her forever but that was not the case because she pulled away and I let her do that she didn't go far just enough for her to turn around and look me in the eyes and the she said lily: I want nothing more than to be with you but you got to realize to be with me is to be with my daughter I can't make this decision and have it end badly and my daughter be attached to you and you just disappear out of her life she is my everything it something were to happen to her because of a decision that I made I would never forgive myself my dad has to live with that guilt for the rest of his life because of what happened to me and I see how it kills him every time I see him. and that is when I realized what is holding her back and so I say cole: I know that and I am ready to be a dad to your daughter I want you and Katie to be my family I want to adopt her and say she is mine and that you are mine I fell in love with you and her that moment I saw you so please be mine I said and lily just stared at me for a moment and I just waited and then she....
