Motive: Legacy and pride. She is fighting tooth and nail to save the failing B&B her late mother left behind. She refuses to accept charity or let anyone see her fail.

Relationships: Cautiously falling for Kai, unaware of his real identity. Sees Jean as her sister and rock. Constantly fighting off Brandon's predatory business moves.

Role: The Patriarch

Job: Founder and Chairman of Yazbek Global.

Relationships: Father to Kai (sees him more as an asset than a son). Mentors Zlinn as a backup plan.

4. ZLINN

Role: The Corporate Snake

Age: 34

Job: VP of Operations at Yazbek Global.

Motive: Ambition and envy. He knows Kai has disappeared and is quietly digging for the truth so he can expose Kai as incompetent, force a board vote, and steal the CEO seat.

Relationships: Kai's biggest rival in the boardroom. Playing a dangerous game of chess with Yazbek.

5. JOSH

Role: The Fixer

Age: 28

Job: Kai's Executive Assistant.

Motive: Loyalty and panic. He is back in the city faking Kai's emails, canceling meetings, and covering up the disappearance to prevent the company stock from crashing.

Relationships: Fiercely loyal to Kai. Stressed out by Zlinn's constant snooping.

6. BRANDON

Role: The Local Threat

Age: 31

Job: Ruthless Local Real Estate Developer.

Motive: Greed. He wants to bankrupt Celestine so he can buy her land for cheap and build a luxury mega-resort. He is using underhanded tactics to ruin her business.

Relationships: Constantly harassing Celestine with lowball buyout offers. Highly suspicious of Kai, wondering why a "regular handyman" is so smart.

7. JEAN

Role: The Loyal Best Friend

Age: 27

Job: Head Housekeeper / Co-manager at the B&B.

Motive: Protection. She wants to see Celestine succeed and be happy, but she is highly observant and protective of her friend's peace.

Relationships: Ride-or-die best friend to Celestine. The first person to suspect Kai is hiding a massive secret because his hands don't look like they've done hard labor before.
