The Daughter of the Alpha

chapter 1

My name is Abby Brown.I'm am your average girl next door. I am pale with long black hair, crystal blue eyes and im 5"8.I've been home schooled my whole life. Since mom and dad are a little over protective. I am their only child.

I've grown up in a small town in the middle of nowhere. It gets a little lonely here sometimes cause nothing ever happens around here. And the only person really around is mom to talk to cause dad's always at work. I'm not really sure what he does cause when I have asked in the past. He would always tell me "let's leave work at the office" them hugs me. So I figure its just boring paperwork in some office somewhere.

But My story really begins the week of my 18th birthday. It all started off just like any other week. Monday morning woke up got dressed. Took care of my school work i was done by 10am, watched TV with mom and talked to her about what I want to do when I'm finished with school. I have less then a month left before I'm done.

" mom I really want to travel I've never been anywhere or seen anything other then this small town. I truly believe small town life just isn't for me."

"sweetheart just give this town a chance when your done with school we can find you a job and you can meet new people im sure you'll love this place just as much as your dad and I. Just think about it honey thats all I'm asking. I'm not ready for you to leave us yet." mom said

"ok mom I'll think about" as I rolled my eyes like I would really want to stay here one second longer then I need to.

later that night I was laying in bed and I couldn't sleep. I just felt like something was off. So I went downstairs and half way down the stairs I could hear mom and dad talking. I couldn't quite hear what they were saying but I could tell mom was upset and crying. So I was as quiet as possible trying to over hear them and all I got before they seen me was mom saying

"she wants to leave us when she's done with school "

"well she can't her life had already been planned out. We just need to wait till after her birthday to tell her about her training the academy only takes kids after they've turned..." dad said that's when they seen me.

"sweetheart its late you need to rest go back to bed"mom said

I nodded and ran upstairs. What was dad talking about? What academy? They have never talked to me about an academy. Who do they think they are trying to plan my life out for me.

The next 2 days I didn't say a word to either of them. I just did my school work and stayed in my room. Making my own plans to travel cause they can't stop me after im 18.

Wednesday night I had the strangest dream. I dreamed I was running in the woods under a full moon. When I stopped at a lake and I looked in at my own reflection I seen a wolf. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. She was completely black with crystal blue eyes that glowed.

When I woke the next morning I felt as if I hadn't slept. It took me twice as long to get out of bed and get downstairs but then I got down there mom was waiting for me with a cake that said "happy 18th birthday "

"Thank you mom cake for breakfast would be great after the weird dream I had" she gave me a strange look and asked"do you want to take about it"

"I dreamed I was a wolf running under a full moon" as soon as I finished telling her she dropped everything and run to the phone and called my dad "you need to come home we have to tell her now" and hung up. dad got home about 30 minutes later

"Abby honey please have a seat your mother and I need to talk to you"
