Revenge on Alpha Danon

Chapter 4

"Here, have a drink", Kiera's savior, whose name she learnt was Alpha Lucian, said and handed her a glass of water. They were now standing on the balcony watching the staff working downstairs. "Thank you", she mumbled, and took a sip of the water. They had stepped out to the balcony to take a whiff of the fresh air and also because Kiera was about to pass out from the shocking revelation. Kiera kept her eyes on the people working downstairs, trying hard to avoid Alpha Lucian's gaze, and he noticed so he didn't bring up the matter again. He knew that she needed time to take in what she had just heard even though he didn't have time to spare. He still decided to give her just a little while to think about what he said.

Kiera had mixed feelings about what Alpha Lucian had said earlier. She was happy to finally have a mate who wanted her, but she was worried about what would happen to her child if she accepted to be his Luna. The child wasn't his, so there was no place for him in his pack. And she was also confused as at why the moon goddess gave her two mates. Had the moon goddess planned that for her from the beginning?

"Are you really my mate?" She asked, breaking the long awkward silence that filled the air, "Yes" he simply replied without even bothering to spare her a glance. "But how is that possible? I already have a mate" she argued. Alpha Lucian turned to look at look at her then her tummy, "the same one who rejected you and tried to murder you? He asked, making Kiera's face turn red in shame. He was right, my so-called mate just rejected me and tried to murder me and here was a new mate who was willing to take me as a mate and I was still thinking about that traitor.

"But, are you going to accept me alongside my child?" She asked, hopeful that he would say yes. He was quiet for a long time thinking about what she said. It was unheard of for an alpha to accept someone else's child as his, but she was his mate, so he really didn't have another choice plus, as it didn't seem like she was ready to get rid of the child. "Does the father know of the child's existence?" He asked after a while, "no, he rejected me before I could tell him" she replied still staring at the floor as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. "Ok, then. I will take this child as mine and no one will ever know that he's not mine", Alpha Lucian promised. Kiera's face lit up on hearing what Lucian said. She couldn't believe that he was actually willing to take someone else's child as his just so that she could be his Luna. She was suspicious at how adamant he was to make her his Luna and it made her wonder if he had an ulterior motive for asking her to be his Luna.

Lucian seemed to have read her mind as he went on to say " rest assured that I have no ill intent towards you", her cheeks turned pink from being ashamed of being so easy to read. "I'll give you time to think, you can go take your bath, a maid will come get you and bring you down for breakfast" he added and turned to leave. "Lucian!" Kiera called before he left. He stopped in his tracks but didn't turn to look to look at her, " Thank you for saving me" she whispered, but it was loud enough for Lucian to hear. Lucian shot her a side stare, then left.

Kiera let out the breath that she didn't know she was holding all this while, "Lucian was really scary, he had an aura that always managed to send shivers down her spine. Kiera thought about Lucian's offer. It was a really nice offer and she felt tempted to say yes, but the thought of leaving her pack, her family and everyone she knew and loved to live with strangers was frightening.

"I'll go back to my pack and talk with my family one last time, then I'll decide" she thought aloud. She left the balcony and began opening different doors until she finally found the bathroom. Her mouth fell open on seeing how luxurious the bathroom looked. It was the size of her whole house. She was sure that even if she sold her whole house and everything in it she still wouldn't have enough money to build a bathroom like that. She was very cautious as she took her bath so as not to destroy anything. She got out of the bathroom and got dressed back into the clothes that she had previously worn. On getting back to the room, she saw a beautiful red dress lying on the bed and a note from Lucian asking her to wear it after taking her bath.

She excitedly took off her old clothes and got dressed into the red dress. The dress was like a glove and smelt like roses. She wished that she had more dresses like that back at home, as it was way more comfortable than the things she usually wore.

She stepped out of the room to meet a beautiful maid with red hair waiting outside for her, "Finally, you're done. Come with me" the maid said rudely, and began walking without even bothering to wait for Kiera. Kiera found her behaviour disrespectful but, since she wasn't a member of the pack, she just shrugged it off and went after her. They arrived at a dinner table which to Kiera's dismay, was empty. She had expected to meet Lucian waiting for her.

"Eat and leave" the maid said while glaring at Kiera, "excuse me" Kiera snapped, having had enough of the maid's disrespect. She might be just a weak omega, but the maid didn't know that and should treat someone she's meeting for the first time with a little respect. "I said eat and leave you hooker!" The maid fired back. "How dare you!" Kiera yelled, fuming in anger, the maid raised her hand and made to hit Kiera when someone grabbed her hand and pulled her back causing her to fall to the ground. "What the fu…." She stopped on realising that it was Alpha Lucian that fell her down. "Sire..i..i.." She began to shutter.

"How dare you try to lay your hands on your future Luna!" He thundered, causing her to flinch in fear. "I..i..I didn't know that she…I thought she was just a sl…." She was cut off by a slashed her face with his claws. "You dare to call my mate a slut?" He fired. "Guards!" Lucian yelled and two men ran in, "get her out of my sight!" He ordered and the men pulled her out while she pleaded for mercy.

Kiera stood there for a while not knowing whether to thank him or ask him to let the maid go. "I just went to visit your pack" he said, causing her face to brighten up, "your so-called mate is getting married….."
