19 Prema started taking care of Isaac for a little while every day, so Timothy could get out and swim. She justified it in her mind by calling it a tithe. Ninety percent hanging out on the beach, ten percent helping out. She was at loose ends, and she loved it. She ran on the beach in the early mornings, stopping to talk to the fishermen pulling fish out of their nets after the early morning catch. She swept her small room on the cliffs, read a little, washed her hair and dried it in the sun. She walked along the beach, all the way to Timothy's house, and every morning she felt a little shiver of excitement, knowing she would see him again. She tried not to dig into these feelings too much. He was newly widowed, for heaven's sake. But she felt that helping the two of them was part of her
