I was floored by Liam's revelation, shocked that Liam is my ex-husband's step-brother. I was aware that Alex step-brother is so wealthy and successful.

Alex had told me many things about his step-brother, but I had never met him while I was married to Alex.

“This is a lot” I said loudly, lot in thought, unknown to me, my son is there with me.

“What's going on mum, how is our new man?”

“Stop it Samson, go and prepare for tomorrow school”

“My mother can't be here thinking while I am doing other things, and why has dad not call yet, hey has he not asked about me at all”

“I don't know”

“He probably doesn't want me and that's fine”

“Do you know Liam is your father's step-brother?”

“What?” Samson breathed in and out deeply, “Whoa!”

“Exactly, I don't know what to yo, Liam wants to be your father”

“He wants to marry you?”

“Yes”

My son heaved a deep breath, “If you love him, I do not see anything bad here, dad doesn't love you and value you, if you find a man who loves you, don't….”

“You can go to bed Samson, I will solve it out”

“Okay mum, if Liam calls, extend my greetings to him”

“Alright son” he said and left for the bedroom.

I really want to say No to him, but I couldn't deny the spark I felt when I was around Liam. He's kind, attentive, nice and has an easy charm that made me feel more at ease while with him.

“Well, he never loved me while I am with him, he never value me, he used me, he cheated on me and still divorced me, isn't this right time to revenge, though I don't even want to fall in love deep, so why not go into a contract marriage with him instead?” I thought about it.

“Or what if this is just a plan? He's connected with Alex, what if he and Alex planned this? I can't fully trust him, contract marriage would be better” I said to myself.

I went to bed, and I slept off.

It was the next day, I dressed my child up and I got ready for gym too.

With a determined look on my face, l finished dressing Samson and turned to face the mirror. I smoothed out her gym clothes and fixed my ponytail. I was ready for whatever the day had in store.

As my child and I held out, we saw Liam's car waiting for us outside.

My son and I made our way to his car, he came out to open it and we entered.

“I thought I could give Samson a ride to school”

“Thank you very much, mu school is not far, you shouldn't have been worried about it”

“Samson, let me be, if you need me to come and pick you up, just let me know”

Samson smiled, “Thank you”

I described his school to him and he drove us there.

I watched Samson leave the car and went inside his school.

“Bye” he waved.

“I love you” I said.

“Samson is awesome,” Liam said.

“He was the reason I stayed in my marriage for long, my husband is always out there flirting with different ladies, not taking care of his family….”

“I understand how you feel but I am ready to erase those pain, I know how it feels, I have also been in a relationship for four years, I loved her and the courtship ess towards marriage, but it was later, she told me she never loved me and that she is married, she only dated me because of money”

“Really? Some people are so cruel, how's that possible”

“That's the reason I left work to start gyming, it was my personal assistant that's handling the work for now, I had to traveled a long distance just to erase the memory of her, but now I found the person I want to be with forever, I love you and I want to marry you”

“The connection you have with my ex husband makes it difficult, how do I even know this isn't planned”

“What? You know we are not close, you know that, I only knew he's married, I don't even know you before I saw you in the gym, I knew he had given birth and I don't even know his son until you introduced me to him, I am in love with you, I am in love with him, there's nothing anyone can do to it”

“You family isn't going to complain about it? You have same mother, she won't accept that”

“She would definitely accept what I want, you are not still in a relationship with him, you have divorced him and I want to start a new relationship with you, how is that a big deal? Is it something people haven't done before, stop making it look like it's not possible dear”

“It's not a big deal, but I still need to trust you. Liam, a contract marriage isn't an ideal start to a relationship but I think it's the best way to start something solid”

“A contract marriage, huh?” he nodded thoughtfully, “That’s not the proposal I was expecting, but I don't have a choice, I'll do anything for you”

“Thank you Liam, that will build the trust connection, I don't want what had happened to me, to occur twice again, I just want to marry and be fine”

“Yes, it's going to happen very soon, you will live the life you want”

“And that reminds me, from next monday I won't be coming to gym again, I need to start looking for work so I can be able to take care of my child upkeep”

“No! How much is it I'll pay for it”

“No, you don't need to worry about that, I am going to take care of the bills, I have been working before we got here”

“Actually, one of the terms that will be in the contract marriage you are to sign, you don't have to work, you and your child will stay in my house”
