"Ugh!!" Kicking and punching the punching bag, harder and harsher every time. Releasing my anger. Ignoring the pain and wounds that I got from pushing myself to the limit.
"Myra, stop. You've been doing this for a few days now. Take a break. No need to push yourself too hard." Jake grabbed my hand, stopping me from punching the almost worn-out bag.
I took a deep breath. Calming myself. It was true. I had been kicking and punching the same punching bag for a few days now without a rest.
"I can't." My other hand formed a fist, I needed this. So much. I needed the extra lessons.
Jake let out a sigh when he heard the stubborn me answering him. Clearly persistent and stubborn enough to continue my training.
"Myra..." He softly called me out before he grabbed my another hand and forced me to look into his eyes.
"What?"
"You can't keep doing this to yourself." His eyes softened as he softly whispered all those words to me.
"They knew about Elena! This is becoming more and more dangerous." I accidentally snapped at him due to a lot of stressed as I looked away.
"It's my duty to protect her, Jake! I won't let anyone or anything hurt her! I can't even imagine what..."
Jake cut me off, "Myra!" His grasp tightened on my wrist, instantly silencing me.
"Hey, look at me." He then used his other hand to tilt my chin, making me look straight into his warm eyes again. This time he made sure not to break eyes contact with me.
"It's going to be okay." Words of reassurance were given.
"How can you be so sure?" I frowned.
Jake smiled.
"You're not in this alone. You have me. You have Liam. You have us. White Wolves, your family."

JAKE'S POINT OF VIEW
She was... trembling?
This was the second time she trembled and being vulnerable like this. And she was not the type of woman who exposed her vulnerable side like this to anyone.
I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her into a warm hug. Please let this hug calm her down, only a bit was enough.
"It's going to be okay." I hugged her close to my chest and rubbed her back gently, hoping that my action would calm her down.
"What if... what if they hurt her? What if they use her against me? What if..." She started to stutter.
"Baby, look at me. It's going to be okay. Our family will make sure nothing happens to Elena."
"We are talking about Scar right now, Jake. I heard terrible things about Scar. The Barzini was in good hands now. They will do something with those information." Her voice cracked. I can feel my shirt getting soaked. She was crying and sobbing quietly. I wrapped my arms tighter around her.
It was honestly... weird. Myra was never afraid of others before. But this time, she seemed a bit... a lot nervous about her this new guy.
Scar.
It would be a lie if I said that never heard about him before. The infamous Scar. The man who murdered, tortured a lot of people who got into his way. Some said that some police even worked under him before he took over The Barzini. He was a man with a lot of influence in the past. But now that he was the leader of The Barzini...
"I promise. I'll make sure to protect Elena."
And you, Myra. I'll do anything to keep you safe, to keep you away from harm. I would die protecting you.
The fact that I couldn't even say those words to her, it was honestly frustrating.
"Thank you, Jake. I trust you. Whatever happens, please make sure you save Elena first. Can you at least promise me that?" She pulled away for a bit before looking up to see my face. Her eyes were red and her cheeks were stained with tears.
Myra...
I looked away. I knew she would do anything for Elena even if she had to sacrifice herself. I... I sometimes hate the kid. Elena already caused so much pain when she came into Myra's life. Seeing how Myra always protect the kid from danger when Elena was still a baby and Myra was still a teenager... Seeing how Myra got hurt badly in the past because of Elena... Seeing how people made fun of Myra... made me hate the kid.
Stupid woman.
But caring.
"Jake?" She called out my name when I didn't answer her.
I swallowed.
"I promise."
She smiled. Relief and happy written all over her beautiful face.
Gosh, if only she knew how I truly feel about her.

MYRA'S POINT OF VIEW
"Dead or still alive?" I asked Z without looking up from my paper.
"Still alive."
I clenched my fist. What the hell? He had 9 lives or what?
"Good. Starve him for 2 days more and continue to t*****e him after that. Make sure it hurts like bitch."
Z nodded, "Noted. But are you sure we couldn't just kill him?"
I snorted, "That will be too easy for him. He betrayed us. He even sold us out. This is his punishment and consequences for betraying us. And a warning that nobody should be messing around with the Winters."
Z nodded again before he left the room. I smiled to myself. I assigned the job of torturing to Z. He was a professional.
"Lylia!"
"Yes?" She appeared seconds later.
"Find his daughter. Bring her here. I need her alive and well." I grinned.
Lylia's eyes widened.
"What?" She asked.
"Relax. I won't kill her. I just want to get to know her better and be her friend." I gave Lylia a reassuring smile.
"You're hiding something. I'm not sure I like it." Lylia fidgeted.
I smirked, "Lylia babe, trust me."
She sighed, "Fine."
"She's under The Barzini's protection for now. Tell the others to be extra careful and not to get caught."
Lylia nodded her head up and down for a few times, "Sure, leave it to me."
