It started on Monday.
Serena showed up at the morning briefing.
Which immediately caught my attention because she has never attended one before.
Not once.
The briefing happens every weekday with Raphael and the senior staff.
I attend because my position requires it now and honestly after months here, everyone already got used to seeing me there.
Then Monday morning Serena suddenly walked in like she belonged there too.
She took the seat two chairs away from Raphael and opened a notebook calmly.
Nobody questioned it.
Nobody even looked surprised enough.
I watched Raphael instead.
His eyes moved toward her briefly when she entered.

Then he continued the meeting normally without asking why she was there.
