I heard a knock on the door but I didn't even bother looking up from the papers in front of me.
“Come in"
The door opened slowly and before I even saw her face, I already knew who it was.
Those heels,the way it clicks against the floor slowly like she's measuring every single step she takes.

She shuts the door behind her carefully.
For a few seconds she didn't sit. She just stands there, looking around my office like she's studying everything.
Meanwhile I keep pretending to read the files in front of me like my whole life depends on it.
It doesn't.
Finally she sat down.
As I keep writing.
“I won't take much of your time" She says calmly.
I didn't answer her. I just flipped another page quietly.
She leaned forward a little, folding her hands together on my desk.
