lost hope

"My daughter, please ask your teacher to skip classes from tomorrow as you will be done with your exams", that was my mother in her sickly voice. I couldn't hold my tears seeing my beautiful mother in that state. She has lost so much weight. Only her big beautiful eyes with a lot of life that gives me hope. The following day after finishing my last paper , I approached my class teacher and reported the difficult situation I was facing and asked for permission to stay at home the following day and take care of my mother. By the time I was done talking to her ,I was soaking wet with tears. The moment was sombre for a moment and she advised me to take as much time as I wanted. When I reached home, my mother was so relieved that I could be there to assist her.
The following days I was busy up and down hospitals trying to get medical help for her. They did a few tests to rule out what was wrong with her. I was so relieved when the medical doctor gave us explanations of what was wrong with her and advised us on what to do in order for her to be okay. I had high hopes that she was going be fine,lo not knowing that more is yet to come......
