I really don’t like this.
At least when he’s home, his mom’s there. I haven’t grilled him for too many details on what his mom does or doesn’t know about his situation, but I imagine she must at least know something about it. And while she clearly hasn’t done enough to protect him, I’m sure that, at the very least, she keeps things… relatively under control.
Also, you know, there’s neighbors.
But this? A villa in the middle of nowhere, just the two of them? I’m not even sure I know what a villa is, but it sounds… private.
What if he does something worse to Cam than he’s ever done before?
And then there’s the other thing that worries me—the thing I’m a bit ashamed to admit, but still feel, nonetheless: what if his dad poisons him against me?
