Laurelynn laid the twins down for their naps and resisted the urge to sit and watch them sleep. If she stayed in the room, then they wouldn"t sleep, and it would make the rest of the day miserable for them all. Instead, she got them into their cribs and dozing then left them, closing the door behind her as Rebecca had told her. Luckily, their enhanced senses wouldn"t kick in until they shifted for the first time, usually during puberty, so the general noise of the household wouldn"t wake them. She couldn"t imagine trying to get a baby with hearing as sensitive as hers to sleep. She smiled at the direction her thoughts had taken and shook her head at how fanciful she"d gotten as she made her way to the living room where she"d left Rebecca and Rachel not long before.
