Derek stopped at the diner for a quick bite of breakfast, and a chat with Sheila if she had time, but she"d been busy, so he"d settled for the food. He hadn"t noticed the odd tugging deep in his gut at first, or maybe he had and had just dismissed it as hunger until after he"d finished his meal and knew that wasn"t it.
