Laurelynn stepped into the cabin and watched Derek walk away for a moment, wishing she had the nerve to call him back and ask him to stay. But she just couldn’t bring herself to do it. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, enjoying the breeze on her face. Disappointed in herself, she closed the door, turned to face the room and froze.
