Chapter 8 Blossom is Gone

"I wish I could say the same" Yang Liu said sadly as Yei Kai wheeled his chair to where they sat.

"Hello Aunt Tao, Hello Aunt Liu" He greeted politely and Bu Lang, Tao Shen and Snow Yei all looked at him confused.

"Big brother Kai, you normally don't say hello to anyone, no matter who. This sudden change, are we about to die too?" Snow asked with a confused frown and Yei Kai frowned.

"what do you mean Snow" he asked equally confused.

"Oh Yei Kai dear, it's nice to meet you again it's been a real long time" Yang Liu said smiling.

“Thank you Aunt Liu”. He said in a smile.

“So Aunt Liu, what happened to Summer?” Bu Lang asked, going back to the previous topic.

“Summer has been gone for close to a decade now. We can’t find her and…" she broke off then Tao Shen stepped in.

“Oh sister Liu, Don’t get like that”. She said hugging her friend.

“It’s been a long time, so am used to it" she said smiling at Tao Shen.

“Who is Summer?” Snow Yei started and Bu Lay held her hand.

“Hey let’s grab that ice cream now” he told her before turning to Yang Liu.

“Aunt Liu I’m sorry about Summer” He said before taking Snow Yei away. Tao Shen turned to Yei Kai and handed him the envelop Alfred had given to her earlier.

“Your father ask me to give you this”.She said with a straight face.

“What is this?” he asked curiously.

“I don’t know”. She replied curtly then he shoved the envelop into his pockets without opening it.

”Aunt Tao…”he called tenderly and the woman looked at him.

“How’s Blossom ?” he asked really concerned.

“Do you really care about her you feel guilty about her situation?” she asked sternly.

“ I care about Blossom Aunt, and I’m sorry about her situation. I didn’t know that her allergy to Agarwood was that strong, I wouldn’t have had her clean my room”. He said truthfully.

“Well, she’s in a terrible condition right now, she will either die of the allergy or if she survives, she may remain a vegetable for life, all thanks to you.You’re a super hero”. Tao Shen said in a mocking tone.

"Aunt Tao…” He called tenderly and she took a deep breath.

"Well, your father is out of the country to take Blossom to get her treatment in a specialist hospital, let’s hope it works. " Tao Shen said firmly.

"While we wait for your father’s return you are to handle the companies with your brother…” She added calmly.

“But…” He proceeded to protest, but was cut shut by Tao Shen.

“No buts. You caused the mess in the first place, now deal with it. If you don’t mind excuse us, Yang Liu and I has a lot to talk about” , she added and he wheeled his chair away. Yei Kai felt really bad about everything that happened. In fact, he prayed for Blossom's recovery.

"He wheeled his chair to his room and shut the door. He stood up and went to the window overlooking the garden. Blossom just like Summer loved the garden the most, and often times, she would hide in the garden to plant flowers, an excuse she uses to avoid Yei Kai. He would often stand here and watch her with a smile on his lips, thinking she was cute. He ran his fingers through his hair while scuffling through his pocket to retrieve his phone, he dialed Yu Bai's number and he responded on the first ring.

"Master Kai" Yu Bai greeted.

"Investigate Blossom's allergy and find a cure for her. However you're going to do it, make sure you find her a cure" He commanded and the man on the other end was confused. But he agreed anyways, would he dare to defile his Benefactor?"

* * * TWO WEEKS LATER. * * *

Yei Kai stood in Blossom’s room looking at a picture of her smiling on the bedside table often times, he had wondered the possible cause of the scar on her right face. Her smile was beautiful and infectious and right now he rooted for that smile. It has been two weeks already and there was no news from his father. Everyday he prayed for Blossom to get better, he deeply regretted his actions and wish for a rewind in time. He hadn't known that he would miss Blossom so much and he had realized that he loved her. Yes! Yes, he had fallen in love with blossom Yang , but he’d only realized his feelings after he’d made the greatest mistake of his life. Tears fell out of his eyes. He turned around to leave then his eyes caught sight of a yellow leather under her stack of books. He picked it up and surveyed the cover page, 'Summer’s withered spring' was printed in bold. He looked at the back cover and there was another word printed in little block letters, 'This is my diary do not open it'. he smiled and took the book with him. He will not open it, but he’ll treat it like Blossom. He sat on the wheel chair and rolled it outside, then rode it gently down the stairs. He got down and met his father sitting on the couch. His luggage was just brought in by Mr Ding and Tao Shen and Bu Lang stood respectively in different positions looking at the man as he rested his head on the couch headrest then pinched the bridge of his nose slightly.

“Dad, how’s Blossom doing?” Bu Lang asked worriedly and Alfred shook his negatively. Yei Kai couldn’t control the stream of tears that flowed out of his eyes, but before he could turn away, and rolled his wheel chair to the room, everyone in the room already saw him. They all witnessed his reaction. His father’s response was too obvious, Blossom was gone .
