A building on Congress. Service entrance. Fourth from the corner. She said the door that was supposed to be alarmed wasn't.
Mia read it standing in the kitchen in her good blazer, still dressed from the showcase, confetti from the gymnasium still caught in her hair. Nathan was in the living room. She stood at the counter and looked at the text and made the specific calculation she had learned to make over two years of knowing when to call and when to move first.
