Nathan found the second leak on a Thursday morning.
Not Davis Wren. Davis Wren had been the Sloane conduit — the deliberately placed junior partner feeding Apex information about Horizon's portfolio reviews. Mia had known about Davis Wren since last week.
This was someone else.
Nathan came to her apartment at noon on Thursday with his laptop and the specific flat expression he carried when he had found something he did not want to have found. She was grading at the kitchen table. She looked at his face when he came through the door and she set her pen down.
