When the plane finally descended they covered my eyes so that I didn't know where we were going. After my conversation with Sammara, I spent several minutes in silence, contemplating what he had told me. My heart, even though I wanted to convince myself that I didn't care anymore, twisted at what Jason had done. After all that I had sacrificed for him, my friend was ready to abandon me to the clutches of the Wolf, literally because he had convinced himself that I was not worth rescuing.
