"our baby." Mateo said his voice was so soft and calm as he stared at me with longing eyes. My chest burned with a strange kind of feeling, one I couldn't comprehend.
I thought he'd be furious. Maybe challenge Alpha Alex for breaking his promise but he was rather calm.
"This only proves that you're not safe here Olivia, you can't trust them." Alpha Alex's worried voice sounded harshly as he took my hands once again.
I glanced at Alpha Mateo and the look in his eyes made me pull my hands back.
"I understand you are worried about Alpha Alex but trust has nothing to do with any of this, anyone could be responsible." I started calmly and he retreated, his gaze lowering slowly.
