Isolde Isolde blinked rapidly so her eyes would adjust to the darkness of the room. Her nerves made her tremble. Even without seeing what was in the room yet, Isolde already went into panic mode. “Please don’t make me stay. Please,” she pleaded, but it was in vain. She whirled on her feet and attempted to run when Alfos released her hand to light up the torches. Before Isolde could reach the door, Alfos arrested her wrist, halting her flight. Fiercely, he slammed her against his chest and roared. “What do you think you’re doing?” “I want to escape! I didn’t do anything!” She threw a fit, her legs flailing in the air as Alfos lifted her with his powerful arm that banded around her waist. The rush of hot tears dripping down Isolde’s eyes tainted Alfos’s hand that was around her waist.
