Chapter Twelve The way to the stables seemed a little more familiar and Melody silently tried guessing the direction before Brynn took it. She managed to get it right about three quarters of the time. Which wasn’t too bad, but it still meant she’d have been lost on her own. On the way to the tavern, she asked, “Why is your horse black?” “It was a gift from my mother.” “And?” He glanced over his shoulder. “That is a very open ended question.
