"What? Tandem? Like, you mean the both of us jumping together?" I asked in shock, moving away from him.
"The teachers are picking everyone in pairs. So, they paired you and I." He informed me, and I turned to Miss Taylor.
"Ma'am, I'm overweight and..." I started to say pointing to the weight machine but she put a gentle hand on my shoulder.
"You didn't exceed the weight limit. You'll do just fine. Except you're not willing to do it. You know it is optional. Not everyone is doing it. Some are scared. It's just an activity to boost our spirits for Christmas." She assured me with a smile, but Reece put an arm around me.
"Oh, come on. This cutie isn't scared." He said, with a smile. Did he just call me cutie? The last time I was clearly sure he had called me annoying.
