They had dragged Jace out of there. Blackwood and his men had retreated towards the borders of the Pack’s territory, using the darkness to cover their tracks till they were little more than shadows moving through the trees. A few of the soldiers followed them, but something about the way they disappeared into the dark didn’t sit right.
