15 Canis Lupus The cool night air does little to quell the fire raging within me as I step out of her apartment building, the door closing with a soft click that resonates with finality. My heart is a drumbeat of raw, unbridled energy, each pulse a reminder of the restraint I"m barely clinging to. The image of Fennec, with her defiant eyes and the way her body responded to my proximity, is seared into my mind, a taunting specter that refuses to be exorcised.
