Can We Be Together Again?

Chapter Six

"Hello Sir, I am Mishika Malhotra, Trisha malhotra's sister," Mishika introduced herself when she met with the police officer who was handling her sister's case.

"Hello, Miss. Malhotra, Please sit," The officer gestured her to sit, which she did.

"Miss. Mishika we have already arrested the culprit, The person drugged your sister and tried to take advantage of your sister, but she was saved by someone and it was the same person who called us and informed us about it when we reached there, the culprit was already tied by his bodyguard and friend and your sister was taken to the hospital, we have already taken his statement and we just need him as a witness in the court," The police officer explained her the details.

"You are saying that you have already arrested the culprit?" Mishika asked in confusion as she thought that she had just confronted Advik outside the police station, and she thought that he was already released by the police and she had made huge efforts to make his arrest.

"Yes, he is in our custody right now," The officer replied.

"May I know who is he?" Mishika asked with doubt.

"He is Rohan Khurana, He asked someone to drug your sister," The officer said.

'If the person was Rohan then why were Didu saying Advik's name in her unconsciousness?' Mishika asked to herself as she was shocked to know about the truth.

"Are you sure he was Rohan? because he is my sister's friend? Did you investigate it properly?" Mishika asked to the officer as she did not believe that her sister's friend could do such a thing, and she was also aware that Rohan like her sister then how could he do that with her.

"Miss. Malhotra, we have already investigated properly, after the investigation, we are sure about it," The office assured her.

"Okay, and may I know who saved my sister, I want to thank that person?" Mishika asked.

"Oh, it was Mr. Advik Ahuja, he reached on time and saved your sister, as per his statement, he met with your sister in the award function and he noticed some unusual expression of Rohan towards your sister so he asked his one bodyguard to keep an eye on him and that was when he found out that your sister and Rohan was left together, and he asked your sister's friend about Miss. Trisha and came to know that your sister was left early but as per his bodyguard your sister was left with Mr. Rohan to some hotel room, that was how he saved your sister," The officer explained what Advik told him which made Mishika shocked.

She did not know how to react at that time after hearing the whole truth, and now she remembered how she had misunderstood Advik and how she shouted at him and criticized him for the thing which he had not done at all.

Now she started to regret her doing, but, alas, there is no medicine for regret. She could only feel guilt.

"Do not worry, Miss. Malhotra, Rohan is in out custody now and we will take him to the court," The officer said, hearing Officer's voice Mishika came out from her thoughts.

"Sir, I want him to be punished for the crime he had committed," Mishika said.

"Do not worry, he will be punished according to the Law," The officer replied with assurance.

"Thank you, Sir," Mishika replied calmly and left from there.

She was calm from her face, but her heart was in turmoil. She did not know what she should do at that moment, and she was feeling so guilty for doing that. After knowing the truth, she ad realized what she had done, how much she had hurt him.

She now realized that she should not have done that without knowing the full truth.

'But why did not say anything, when I was shouted at him and criticizing him for the crime which he had not done, why was he kept quit that time' Mishika was thinking about it again and again.

She also remembered when Veer tried to say something but did not listen to him but also slander him to cover up for Advik's mistakes and wrongdoings, and now she knew that she had gone too far now.

With these thoughts, she came back to the hospital to take care of her sister.

Advik's Room...

"Why did you not explain it to her? and why did you just listen to her bullshit? she was just shouting at you and was criticizing at you without knowing anything and you were just listening to her and was standing like a statue," Veer gritted his teeth at his best friend who was sitting on his bed with a bloodied hand.

"Now whom you are showing this anger of yours," Veer said to Advik when he reached out to bandage his hand.

"Get out," Advik only said this and pulled his hand back.

"Not going, what will you do, Do not think about me like those people who will get scared of your anger, Beleive me, I will kick your ass if you do this again," Veer was fuming with anger when he saw the bloodied hand.

"Why are you like this?" Veer asked in a helpless tone.

"How am I?" Advik asked back.

"Like this, she still affect you, You truly felt hurt when she said those word and you still did not say anything back to her, Why?" Veer asked, looking at Advik.

"Do you really think that if I say anything to her and if I explained to her then she will believe me, if that was the case then she would have believed me 5 years back," Advik said, which shocked Veer as he knew what was Advik talking about.

"Then why do you still want to be with her, why do you not start a new fresh?" Veer question him again, as he could not understand his friend's state of mind. He suffered so much because of this girl, but still, he wants to be with her at any cost, and this could do anything.

"Because I love her," Advik replied.

"But, what about her? does she also love you the same why like you love her?" Veer asked.

"She do and if not then she will again," Advik said with a firm tone which means that at any cost, she will be with him at the end.

"Now I have to use some other way to tied her with my side so that she will not leave me even if she tried harder, this time, I will not let you go Mishu, I promise," Advik promised to himself this again and again.

"What are you planing to do now?" Veer asked, looking at Advik's expression, which was showing that he was up to something.

"You just wait and watch, now she herself will come to me because if I chase after her then she will try to go far away from me, with her attitude towards me right now, showed that she still not believe me, and even if I expose the truth of the past, she will not believe it, so I have to try some other methods," Advik replied with an evil smirk on his face.
