***Chapter 7: The Unknown Past***

"Sai, join me here!"

"Coming!"

We were just four since we knew each other; we were neighbours, our mothers were best friends so they always visit us, despite that they're always in the hospital made us two stay at our house or his and play all day, we were in the preschool together.

"Sai, do you like me?" Alli asked. "Yes, why shouldn't I?" I walked with him to the playgrounds around here with our maids and bodyguard looking after us. "It just that, there will be a time that I will leave you and you know that right?" I dig some sands in the sandbox and put it inside the mould.

"How about this?" I held my pinky high, just above the level of our faces. "I promise to never leave you and right by your side forever," I promised. He then hooked his pinky on mine. "I promise that I will never leave you and right by your side forever,"

We promised each other not to leave each other until one day everything changed. I and Allistair were just twelve years old, we were just in an arcade near our subdivision with our bodyguards outside.

"Woah, shoot it all in Alli!" I yelled inside the loud arcade. "Sir, nice shot," I heard someone and suddenly they put a handkerchief in our nose and mouth. My point of view is spinning and I felt numb, then that's the time I felt unconscious.

I woke up in the floor tied up with Allistair still unconscious, my mouth taped so I Can't scream, I just stared at Allistair, I know they were after me and Allistair was just dragged here; I was feeling guilty and sorry for him; I saw he was up and tried to move; I shook my head, saying that we can't do anything.

"Hey, good morning kids!" I heard someone walking with tapping sounds near ours then it stopped. "Poor you, being dragged by that asshole's daughter, are you her boyfriend?" The man asked Alli, and he did nothing but lying down staring at me. "Then I can tell you love her," He said again and walked away.

"I hope you will have a pleasant stay here." He then exits, I looked at Allistair feeling sorry and I knew it was my fault that our parents were anxiously worried for us it should be just my parents, I saw that he is reaching for his pocket and trying to do something, he then soon got up and remove the tape in his mouth, I just stared at him wide eyes as he free me, removing the tape in my mouth he smiled, I hug him tight as what he had done.

I stood up and remove the ropes on my legs. "Oh, you freed yourselves, good." He walked to us and gave us a blue jumpsuit. "Wear that," He said and walked away. I wear it and soon Alli finished, and the man came back again. "Come on, everybody's waiting," He said as we followed him outside where I saw some knives and tasers, and it hit me, is killing needed here? I then saw guys and ladies killing and fighting at some kind of ring.

"You're next, pick a weapon." A guy walked to me and showed me a blanket full of weapons, except guns. "Can I pick two?" I asked, and he nodded. I picked a taser and a knife, I had a little exciting plan playing in my mind.

"Next up, go inside the ring." I heard the man in mic said. "Are you sure you will do it Sai?" Asked Alli, I just nod at him and walked inside, I saw my foe, he's a baldy, muscular and at first glance, he is scary. For him, this is just a combat game, but for me this is an assassination, I just need to kill him not to fight him.

"Start!" I saw the man waiting for me to attack, he is in his position with no weapon, with a smile on my face and let my bloodlust flow in my veins, I walked to him like walking normally, just when I bump him that is when he realise, he was going to be killed, startled, he lost his balance, everyone will be startled when they're going to be killed, I will gripped his sando and pull him down, he will blow a punch in front, so, I will go behind him and lock his neck with my arm and my legs around his waist with my knife beside his neck.

"Gotcha." I looked at him and he is not breathing, that is when I let him ready my taser, he turned around to blow a punch on me, that is the time I let my volt out that made him go through electric shock, and soon. "K.O." I said while turning off the taser. I looked around me and they were all speechless, I walked away from the ring and go to Alli, he then slapped me in my face. "What's that for?" I asked, annoyed. "To make sure it is my little Saoirse, you almost killed him, you're so cool right there!"

"I can't kill a person," I said as I gave back the weapons. "D-did she just killed Giant John?" A guy asked surprised and his friend nodded. "C'mon back to your cells," The man said as he walks us back in.

It's been two weeks since I almost killed a person, I and Allistair still can't forget about Giant John,  he is still in the hospital after what I did to him. "Yamamoto, you're called by the boss," The man  said and Alli is looking at me worriedly, I just smiled at him saying I'm going to be okay, following the man and go to their boss' office.

Walking inside, I saw his table with two pills and two glasses of water; I walked inside without the man and sat down; I waited for the boss to come inside for two minutes. "Oh, sorry to be late, did you have a fine stay here?" He asked, based on his accent, he is British. "I'm fine by it, sire,  it took you long enough," I said, matching his accent.

"As you can see, I have two pills and two glasses of water, one pill has a poison in it, and the other one is safe, pick anything on the table and look for the safe pill," He instructed. "No thanks, it is ok for me, I'll pick the first one, but, let me have a deal, if I die, let Allistair out of this place and bring him back to his mother, and he will not gonna say even a single word, and if you die, let me get my phone back, fine with you, sire?" I stick out my hand to seal our deal. He called one of his persons to get my phone and turned it on. It was fully charged and placed it in the table.

I get one pill and he get the other, as I drink my water, I also saw him drink the other water, I acted that I was out of breath, I then closed my eyes as playing dead in front of him, I then heard someone choking in front of me and soon stood up and go to a window.

Calling the emergency number, I was nervous. What if someone suddenly comes in? The phone answered, and I put it in my ear. "Hello, I'm kidn*pped with my friend, I don't know where I am but I can tell I am in an abandoned building near a highway, it has a traffic light nearby it and a bakery named "Cakes and Pastries" and I see I was in Eduard Cane Highway here, if you didn't catch up, please navigate my phone, I turned on my location," I said devastated. "Okay, madame, please calm down and we will be there soon,"

I turn on silent mode in my phone and turn it off, hiding it in my pocket; I exited the boss' office, and the man is waiting for me outside; he accompanied me to my room and saw the anxious Allistair there inside; I walked in and he hugged me real tight and kissed my forehead; I knew he was anxious since he must kiss my forehead if he is nervous.

"I thought I will lose you, my gosh Saoirse!" He yelled at me. I just smiled at him and hugged him back. "We will leave here soon," I said while pulling away. That is when I heard sirens. I heard some guns and screams, suddenly a S.W.A.T police was in front of our cell. "Are you all fine?" He asked as he let us out, and we all nodded.

Walking outside the abandoned building, sitting at an ambulance with a rescue checking on me, and a blanket all over my body with Allistair by my side, I saw my family car and Allistair's. I saw my family and his; I ran to my father and he also ran with me.

"Are you really going to leave me?" I asked with my eyes full of tears, Allistair's parents moved abroad from the time being 'cause of what happened. "Didn't we promised each other?" He hugged me tight as his tears falling too. "I will promise that I will comeback here for Saoirse, for now, I will be just away and we will just meet virtually, okay?"

"Allistair is that really you?" I asked again as I hugged my long lost best friend. "It's really me, didn't I promise you, I will never leave you, stay by your side forever and I promised I will come back, and here I am,"
