Chapter SevenAmethyst traveled throughout the night until the forest became too thick. She stopped and continued the rest of the way on foot. It was dark, so she heated her hand and lit up the pathway. She walked for a few hours before she became tired and decided to rest for the night, so she searched for a place to sleep. Amethyst found an old tree with a large hole at the base of the trunk and crawled inside. She lay on top of the leaves, covered herself with her coat, and dozed off. She slept through the night peacefully, and at the crack of dawn, she was back on her path. Amethyst traveled for a while until she arrived at the foot of the mountains.
