As time goes on, Sara and Tyler start to interact more and more. They're not exactly friends, but they're not enemies either. They're able to have civil conversations, and they even help each other out sometimes. One day, when they're both studying in the kitchen, Tyler asks Sara a question out of the blue. "Do you think it's possible to be friends with someone you used to hate?" he asks. Sara is taken aback by the question, but she takes a moment to think about it. "I think it's possible to change your opinion of someone if you give them a chance," she says. "Sometimes we just need to see things from a different perspective." Tyler looks surprised, like he wasn't expecting that answer. He nods and goes back to his studying. From that day on, their relationship starts to shift, and they find themselves becoming friends in spite of their past. Now that they're friends, Sara and Tyler start to spend more time together. They study together, they go for walks, and they even hang out with each other's friends. Their friendship starts to have a positive impact on their lives. Tyler becomes less of a bully, and Sara starts to come out of her shell. One day, they're hanging out in the park when Tyler asks Sara a question. "What do you want to do with your life?" he asks. "I mean, after high school." It takes Sara a moment to answer. She's never really thought about what she wants to do after high school. But as she thinks about it, she realizes that there's one thing she's always loved: reading. "I think I want to be a librarian," she says. "Or maybe a bookseller." Tyler looks impressed. "I think that's really cool," he says. "You'd be great at it." A few days later, they're at the library when they come across a sign advertising a job opening. It's for a part-time position at the library. Without hesitation, Sara decides to apply for the job. She's nervous, but excited. The next day, she gets a call from the library, asking her to come in for an interview. She can't believe it! She and Tyler spend the next few days preparing for the interview. The day of the interview, she's a bundle of nerves. She walks into the library, and the head librarian, Ms. Grey, greets her with a warm smile. "Have a seat," she says. "We'll be with you in just a moment." What happens during the interview? The interview goes well, and Ms. Grey seems impressed with Sara's passion for books and knowledge. At the end of the interview, Ms. Grey asks Sara a final question. "What's your favorite book?" she asks. Sara thinks for a moment, then answers. "Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen," she says. Ms. Grey smiles. "I love that book, too," she says. "You're hired!" Sara is overjoyed. After the interview, she runs out of the library to find Tyler, who's waiting for her outside. "I got the job!" she says, At first, Tyler doesn't realize that his feelings for Sara have changed. But as he sees her happy and excited about her new job, he starts to realize that he's not just happy for her - he's happy to be around her. He finds himself looking forward to their study sessions, and he starts to enjoy their time together outside of the library, too. One day, they're walking in the park when Tyler finally works up the courage to say something. "Sara," he says, "I think I have feelings for you." Sara is surprised by Tyler's confession, but she's also flattered. She's not sure how she feels about him, but she doesn't want to hurt his feelings. "Tyler," she says, "I appreciate your honesty, and I'm really glad we're friends. But I'm not sure if I feel the same way." Tyler looks disappointed, but he nods. "I understand," he says. "I just wanted to be honest with you." They continue walking in silence for a few minutes, and then Sara says, "But I do really value our friendship." Tyler looks relieved. "I do, too," he said.
