Chapter 5 - Descision

The sun rays poured through the window. Another day had dawned, bringing with it new hopes and aspirations but not for certain someone.

Mark woke-up from the sound of his alarm and groaned 'Arghhh..' he slowly opens his eyes and runs a hand through his already messy black hair. He goes to the bathroom to fresh-up; after getting ready he goes to his garage, gets inside the car and drives off 'After thinking throughout the night, I have came to a decision..' he grips the steering wheel while thinking

Clara woke up a little early today and after getting ready for work she went down to have breakfast.

After entering the dinning area, she sees her father already been seated and waiting for her "Good morning, Pa" she greets with a smile and gets herself seated

"Good morning, Clara" Mr. Miller smiles

The maid who was standing beside them comes in and serves them breakfast. After finishing her breakfast Clara picks up her bag and says goodbye to her father before leaving to work.

After finishing his breakfast, Mr. Miller went to the study to look through the documents and after completing it he also left to Miller Corp main building, upon arrival he went straight to his office.

After few minutes his secretary comes in and informs he has a guest who came to meet him for which Mr. Miller nods and asks him to send the guest in 'This boy, I hope he made the right decision'

Mark directly went to Miller Corp and was assisted by the secretary to get inside the chairman's office: the secretary leaves after he gets in. Upon entering he sees Mr. Miller quietly sitting on his chair going through some documents.

"Mr. Miller" Mark greets

"Oh, Mr. Brown. Please come and take a seat" Mr. Miller smiles

"....." Mark quietly goes and sits opposite to Mr. Miller

Sensing the discomfort Mr. Miller asks directly "So, are you here to give your answer, Mr. Brown?"

Mark grunts his teeth and says "Before answering I want to know  why me? You can find more suitable person for your daughter with the status and power you have but why me?" He emphasizes the word 'me'

"Because I believe you are more suitable than anyone out there" Mr. Miller says while smiling "I hope that answers your question"

Mark narrows his eyes 'this old man! Why do I feel like there is some hidden motive behind this? It's hard to admit but I don't have power neither do I have fame while comparing to them. But still..'

"Hmm? Do you have any other questions, Mr. Brown?" Mr. Miller asks

"Alright, I'm ready to take up your offer. But why do I have to pursue your daughter? You can just arrange a marriage between me and your daughter that'll be easy" Mark says in frustration

"That can't be done, Mr. Brown. My daughter will simply hate me if I directly select a groom for her and ask her to marry" Mr. Miller says and continues "I know she'll never say no but I don't want to force her to marry someone whom she doesn't know, So first I want you to meet her and pursue her into marrying you" 

"......" Mark stays silent 'you can't force your daughter but you can FORCE others?!'

"So, are you willing to take up the offer?" Mr. Miller asks again while looking straight up in his eyes

"....." Mark stays silent 'Pursue? Damn..! I didn't even dated anyone throughout my 28 years and this guy wants me to pursue someone whom I don't even know? Will it work out? Mark, there is no point in thinking now when you have already decided' he sighs and nods "Yes, I'm willing to take it"

Upon hearing his decision Mr. Miller smiles 'this kid, made a wise decision. I hope he'll understand me more if he know the real reason why I'm doing this in the future'

"Well then I'll not ask you to sign any documents for me to trust you but if you intend to do something unforgivable or if you fail, I hope you know what will be consequences, hm?" Mr. Miller says coldly

Mark nods "Yes, I know" he clearly understood the hidden meaning behind 'unforgivable things'

"Good, then here are the details of my daughter. The rest is up-to you" he says while handing over an brown envelope to Mark

Mark nods and takes it. He didn't even said any goodbyes before leaving

'I hope these two will find their happiness' Mr. Miller thought while staring at the back of the man who is leaving 'Why don't you remember it? If you remember it would have been quite easy' he sighs while smiling

Today Clara was in good mood because she arrived on time for work as well as Dan treated her yesterday and the company has picked up her designs for the upcoming fashion week. What else does she want? 'haaaa~ today is such a good day!' she smiles and sips onto her coffee while sitting in the office cafeteria

"It seems like you're in a good mood today, Cia" Linda says while sitting next to her

"Yes, I'm! I'm soo happy today!" Clara confirms with a grin "I believe today might be my lucky day to have all good things happening to me!" she beams
