Aliyah's POV
I sat in my favorite spot in the school library, surrounded by books and the quiet hum of students studying. My mind wandered to Jungkook, and I couldn't help but think about the way he had helped me with Soyeon. It was a small act, but it had made me feel seen and appreciated. I wondered if maybe, just maybe, Jungkook was interested in me.
My thoughts were a jumble of emotions and doubts. I had always known Jungkook to be cruel and condescending, but that one moment had made me question everything.
As I sat there, lost in thought, Yuqi walked into the library. "Hey, what's up?" she asked, plopping down beside me.
I hesitated, unsure if I should share my feelings with Yuqi. But something about her kind expression made me open up. "I was just thinking about Jungkook," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
Yuqi's eyes widened with interest. "What about him?"
I took a deep breath and let my words spill out. "I don't know, it's just that he helped me with Soyeon and it made me feel... seen, I guess. And now I'm wondering if maybe he's interested in me."
Yuqi's expression turned thoughtful. "I don't know, Aliyah. Jungkook can be really mean sometimes. Are you sure you're not just reading too much into it?"
I nodded, my doubts creeping back in. "Yeah, maybe you're right. I don't know what's wrong with me."
Yuqi put a reassuring hand on my arm. "There's nothing wrong with you, Aliyah. You're just being hopeful, that's all."
Just then, the library door swung open and Jennie Kim walked in. She was my cousin, and we didn't exactly get along. She was always so confident and beautiful, and I couldn't help but feel intimidated by her.
Jennie scanned the room, her eyes landing on me. She raised an eyebrow, a look of disdain crossing her face. "Aliyah, what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice dripping with condescension.
I felt a surge of annoyance at her tone. "Just studying, Jennie. What about you?"
Jennie Kim smirked. "Oh, just here to see some friends. But I have to say, I'm surprised to see you here. I didn't think you were smart enough to be studying in the library."
I felt a sting from her words, but I refused to back down. "Well, Jennie, I guess I'm full of surprises."
Jennie raised an eyebrow, a look of amusement crossing her face. "I guess you are, Aliyah. But let's see how long you can keep up with this act."
The tension between us was palpable, and I could tell that this conversation was far from over.
Jennie took a step closer to me, her eyes flashing with competitiveness. "You know, Aliyah, I've been noticing you lately. You're always talking about Jungkook, and I have to say, I'm getting a little tired of it."
I felt a surge of defensiveness at her words. "What's it to you, Jennie?"
Jennie Kim smirked. "Oh, nothing. I just think you're wasting your time with him. He's not interested in you, Aliyah. He's got better things to do than waste his time on someone like you."
I felt a sting from her words, but I refused to back down. "Well, Jennie, I think you're just jealous. You've always been competitive, but this is getting ridiculous."
Jennie Kim's eyes flashed with anger, and for a moment, I thought she was going to lash out at me. But then, she seemed to regain control of herself. "Whatever, Aliyah. You can have your little crush on Jungkook. But mark my words, he'll never be interested in someone like you."
I smiled, feeling a surge of confidence. "We'll see about that, Jennie." With that, Jennie Kim turned and walked away, and I watched her go with a sense of triumph. I knew that I had stood up for myself, and that felt amazing.
"Ugh, who does she think she is" yuqi said rolling her eyes while I just chuckled
"You know now that I think of it, you really have to make jungkook your man and shut that b***h up, like she ain't even all that, flat ass b***h" yuqi said as she took a sip of her coke
"You know what hell yeah!!" I yelled and everyone looked in our direction, yuqi laughed while I just looked down in embarrassment

Aliyah was waiting for her brother outside the school gates as usual, just to see him coming along with jungkook, as they walked towards her she started to get nervous and a slight blush creeped around her cheeks
She knew she was deeply in love with the boy, she couldn't help but admire him
"Earth to Aliyah" yugyeom stated while waving his hands across her face while she scoffed and yanked it away
"What took you so long" she asked while avoiding eye contact with jungkook
"Oh bout that, me and jungkook are project partners so we're going home together" he stated while walking forward with jungkook walking along
"Oh that's great, at least we have company" she said while trying to catch up with them
Minutes later
They got to their house while jungkook sits on the couch, yugyeom went to his room to change while Aliyah too made her way upstairs

"So yh I need your help" he stated while looking deep
into her eyes, she couldn't help but wonder why jungkook of all people would need her help, it was quite surprising but she wasn't complaining, now she wondered what he needed from her.
