Chapter 25I'd worried needlessly about Ollee, as Patricia tells me he enjoyed all the attention and pampering. Seeing him powdered and perfumed and with the fur on his head trimmed, I must admit he looks and smells much better than before. Now it's possible to see his beautiful, gentle eyes without spikes of unruly hair masking them.
The dog show is bedlam, but Sarah is in her element. Benny, Carlos and Freddy have all found homes, only Pepe remains unwanted, and no wonder, who in their right mind would willingly take in an old, bad-tempered mongrel as a pet? I hear Patricia talking to Sarah and see that Ollee and Pepe seem to like each other.
