Lindsey   I grabbed his hand and dragged him away from the crowd as quickly as I could. Some people had stopped and stared while others were too drunk to notice. I led him to a room where we could be alone. I closed the door behind us and turned around to face him.   "You're my mate? That's impossible," I said my voice barely above a whisper.   "It looks that way," he said. I could tell he was offended by the sarcasm in his tone but I chose to ignore it.   "You understand don't you? Why we can't be together?"
