Diana POV: I opened my eyes slowly, the room still hazy, my body heavy with sleep. He was seated at the edge of the bed, back slightly bent, elbows resting on his thighs, watching me like he wasn’t sure whether to stay or leave. The moment my eyes fluttered open and met his, he startled like he’d been caught doing something forbidden.
