Jace's POV "The agent comes in today" Jack said as he sat down on one of the sofas "Good" I said "Let's finish this once and for all" "I doubt if it'll be as easy as you just made it sound" Jack said "How much do you know about your step brother?" "Asides the fact that he's out for my blood" I said "He's got a lot of people who works for him. And a lot more that owes him" "Dangerous people I presume" Jack said I nodded "Mafia. We have to start by getting those ones to back off first. He has to lose connection with those people" Jack nodded "Killing his plan from the inside" Beep beep! Jack looked at his phone and typed something in. "Your bodyguard's here" he said "I'll do the introductions and get back to the office" "That's fine by me" I said I heard the entrance door close quietly and waited. I smiled when I didn't hear footsteps. That was all I needed to know that this agent was good. "Agent Feilman" Jack called, looking behind me, getting up. I got up and turned around to see this agent. What the F**k! "Director" she said, not taking her face off Jack's as she dropped a black duffel bag on the floor, standing at ease. Holy s**t! The agent's a goddamed female. She was wearing a black leather trouser. Black biker's jacket. Biker's gloves and black Timberland. A size bigger than her. Her jet-black hair was in a bun. Her face was free of any make up. No accessories of any kind, not even earrings. "Agent Feilman this is Jace Black. Your employee." Jack said "Jace, Agent Feilman, one of our best" My gaze was still on her face. "Well, I'll leave you to your job Agent." Jack said to her "See you later Jace" "Thanks Jack" I shook his hand He smiled and went past the agent to the door. My gaze never left her as I watched her eyes flicker to every corner of the apartment. Slowly, I made my way towards her and stopped when I was a few feet away from her. I sighed inwardly and put my hands in my pocket. "I don't have a problem with female agents, except they don't do their jobs well" I said "I suggest you do yours well, we'll get along just fine" I inhaled sharply but quietly when her green eyes turned to meet mine. They were breath taking. She just stared at me without saying anything. When I thought she was gonna speak, she moved out of my eye sight towards the ceiling to floor glass wall that showed the outdoor pool. She stood in front of it, she lifted her hand and placed it on the glass. "Bullet proof" I heard her say Suddenly she turned and faced me "Where can I put my bag?" I waited for a while before I said "Follow me" I turned away and walked towards the stairs expecting her to follow, passing the stairs, I walked to the first door underneath the stairs and opened it. Pushing the door, I turned back to her. "Here" She didn't even look at me as I spoke or as she walk past me into the room. "This will be your room for the period you'll be staying" I told her She looked around briefly before she dropped her bag on the bed. Really? No 'It's beautiful, thank you'. It's hasn't even been a day and I already dislike her. "I'll leave you to it then" I said before I left. Going back to the living room, my phone rang. "Black" I said when I answered "Sir, your 8 O’clock has arrived" my assistant said "I'm on my way" I said turning around to head out but I stopped dead in my tracks "What the hell!" She was standing right there, hands behind her back with those amazing eyes of hers on me. "Agent! Haven't you heard of the term personal space?" I asked her "It's not in my vocabulary" she said, her emotions void I sighed "Right" I said "I have to be in the office" She gave a curt nod before walking away, towards the door. I followed her and shut the door behind me. "Good morning sir" my driver greeted as he held the door open "Morning, Marvis" I said about getting in, my eyes looked around for the bodyguard. I caught sight of her mounting her sleek black power bike. My lips tilted up a little. Badass! "Agent!" I called She paused and turned to me. "If you’re gonna be on this job, you'll ride in the same car as me" I said strictly. I noticed her jaw clench before I got into the car and waited for her. I frowned when the door was shut and she got in the front seat beside Marvis. I sighed. "Agent, my driver Marvis. Marvis, the bodyguard" I said when we were on the road She gave Marvis a curt nod before she said "I suggest you call me something other than Agent if you're trying to keep this low-key" Good thinking. My brows furrowed as I thought of a name. I smiled when I found one. "Green" I said She snorted. I frowned at that. "What do you suggest?" I asked "Feilman" she said I shook my head "Green is simpler. Feilman is a mouth full" And I like Green more. "Whatever" I heard her mutter For the second time that day, I smiled. Truly smiled. It's been so long since anyone or anything made me smile since my dad passed. My step mom always put a smile on my face, but they weren't real. It was just to make her happy. She deserved so much more than that but I couldn't force myself to make it real. So now the question that's on my mind. Why does this female agent make me smile for real without even intending to make me smile? I sighed. I should stop thinking to deeply about this. It's irrelevant and not important. I have a lot of things on my plate right now, adding more won't make it easy. I got to shake this. I cleared my throat "Hurry up Marvis. I'm late for my meeting" I said
