Avery's POV
"What are you doing here!"
My heart stopped the moment Beatrice said those words. She saw him. She saw Leo. s**t! s**t!
What do we do?
She was going to tell my mum, and then Mum would kick Leo out of the house. I would never get to see him again!
"B-Beatrice, is... is not what you think?" I whispered, my fingers clutching tightly to the bedsheet. "I... I can explain."
Beatrice did not advance. She just stood there, staring.
"Would you please say something?"
Her silence was killing me, then... I watched as her expression shifted from confusion to a slow, dawning horror. Her gaze snapped to me.
"Avery. Why were you shouting?"
Wait? What? What happened to her seeing Leo in the room?
"Uh... I, I had a nightmare," I stuttered, my entire being going into confusion mode.
