The ring of Jaxon’s phone cut through the heat like a knife. My heart leapt straight into my throat when I saw the name glowing across the screen. Dad. Shit. I scrambled off Jaxon’s lap, snatching up the nearest clothes I could find from the floor. My hands shook so badly I almost put my top on inside out. “Don’t answer yet!” I hissed, already rushing for the door.
