Zyros’s POV
By the time I walked up to my door by dawn, it had already been locked. I knew this was Ronan's doing and it was definitely because he didn't want me to be there when Selvara gets killed.
But I had to be there, to save her no matter what it takes. I hit the door several times, but all to no avail. I tried calling out to anyone available, but no one seemed to be around. By the time I would break down the door, it was already about two minutes till she got executed.
I ran as far as I could, and I was there right in time for when the blade meant to execute Selvara was raised high. Fear gripped me, the bond drawing hard at me.
My mouth formed an ‘o’ shape as the blade came down, hard and sharp, and the sound of it hitting flesh made my heart burn.
