Samuel  I blocked off Raphael. My wife was trying her hardest to stay composed through her contractions. A thin layer of sweat shone on her skin; her brows knitted together from the pain. Soon our daughter would be born, and I’d be out there instead of right here. Her pain seeped through our bond, like a ghostly feeling my abdomen pulsed with a fraction of what she felt.
