Chapter 13

Eloise heaved a deep sigh. She doesn’t want Pierce to be one of his toys. She also knows that the feelings that Pierce is feeling now, are a lot different from love. It was just a mere admiration or somewhere like a brother-like love. He just wants to protect her because she’s someone like Jessica, at least, that’s what he thinks.

Eloise shook her head. That’s not what she should be thinking about now. She should be thinking about how to escape or how Leon found them. There is still that factor that Kaye mentioned a while ago. But knowing Leon, she’s sure that he’s up to something. There must be something Leon didn’t tell her. Something that connects him either to her or to Eliot.

Eloise stared at Eliot’s face.

I won’t ever let him do the same to you, Eliot.

Eloise closed her eyes and drifted to dreamland.

“Love, I have a surprise for you,” Eloise said as she and Leon danced sweetly in the sweet melody.

They were celebrating their 300th anniversary and Leon planned a sweet date for the both of them.

“What is it, love?” Leon said as he caresses her face

“Well, after you turned me into a demon, we did something, right? Well, that something turned into something else, and now… we’re having a baby,” Eloise said happily.

Leon looked happy. He hugged her tightly but not tight enough to hurt, lifting her off her feet for a few seconds.

“I’m so happy, love. Is it a girl or a boy?” He asked after putting her down.

“I’m not sure yet. Can you know if it’s a girl or a boy right away?” Eloise asked as she puts her hand in her belly.

“Yes, feel it,” Leon said as he puts his hand at the top of hers.

Eloise started feeling the heartbeat of the baby and saw it. It’s a boy.

“It’s a boy,” Eloise said happily.

“Yes, love. It’s a boy. Just like me,” Leon said happily.

“Yes, love. We’ll raise this boy different from how they raised you, okay?” Eloise said as she stares lovingly at his eyes.

“Of course, love. We’ll raise him to be a happy kid.”

“Yes, and we’ll both give him the love that he deserves.”

Little did Eloise know that it was what ruined them.

“Leon! Leon! I think the baby will come out now,” Eloise shouted from their bedroom.

Leon immediately ran towards her and summoned the demon that could help her give birth. The demon immediately attended to the princess. Leon got out for a moment because he can’t bear to see her suffer.

When the birth was done, Eloise stared lovingly at his baby boy. It has a small horn just like his dad’s and small wings. Leon walked at that moment and immediately felt jealousy as he stares at his wife looking lovingly at their son.

“No one can love you the way I can, love,” Leon said as he approaches them.

Eloise looked at him and was surprised at how he looks. He was in his demon form and he was extremely angry.

“Leon?” Eloise said, terrified at what he would do.

“No one can love you the way I can, love,” He repeated.

“What? Leon? What are you going to do?” She asked when Leon took their son away from her.

“Don’t worry, love. It’s ok. He’s just gonna be gone. Don’t worry you won’t remember him again in your next life,” He said as he walks out of the room.

“Leon, no!” Eloise said.

Even though every part of her body was aching because she just gave birth, she still stood up to run towards Leon and stop him.

She saw Leon put him down on the table and started doing his magic.

“Leon, please. Why are you doing this?” Eloise said while struggling to get closer to them.

“Love? What are you doing? Go back to your bed. I’ll be there in a moment. I’ll deal with you next,” He said as he continues.

“No, no. Leon, don’t. Please, don’t do that. Leon, love, you can’t do that to him,” Eloise tried again.

“I have to, love. You’re mine. I should be the only man that you love. No one can steal that love from me. No one can love you the way I love you, love. So let me do this,” He said before continuing again.

“No, no, I can love you both the same way. Leon, he’s our son. He won’t steal me away from you.”

“No. He will. I won’t let all of my efforts go to drain, love.”

Eloise paled when he said that. “What do you mean by efforts, Leon?” She said, terrified to listen.

“I didn’t kill your parents, the man you were supposed to love just for nothing, love. And also, I didn't put that spell on you for nothing. You will be mine. You’ll always be mine, Eloise. You were made for me. You were made for me to love,” He said.

Eloise felt her tears flow as she watches her son turn into dust.

“No, no. My son. Don’t. Leon, please tell me that this is all just a dream,” Eloise said as she cries.

“Hush, love. Don’t waste your tears. You won’t remember him anyway. I’m going to get my demon blood from you and turn you into a human again. You’ll die into my arms and you’ll be reborn again. You won’t ever remember him or this incident. Don’t worry, love,” He said as he puts his arms around her.

“No, no. You’re a monster. I would never ever love you again,” Eloise said as she struggles to get away from him.

“You can’t love. The spell I placed you will always be there. No matter what you do, it’ll always be with you.”

Eloise felt pain as he gets the demon blood away from her body.

“Sleep now, love, and we shall meet again after a hundred years,” He said and Eloise felt herself getting sleepy.
