I do not know what happened to Victor, but Hiram took care of him. Lola too suddenly vanished from his class, and I have no clue if that is his doing, but I do not care, because I get to be in his class daily without seeing her. The only other class I have with her is history. Since Rhea is in my history class too, I barely notice Lola.
Today is Friday, and the last day of school—for the week. Sally let Rhea and me off for the weekend because Rhea’s friend is throwing a bash for his party tonight. I should be at Rhea’s place, but I decide to stop at Hiram’s first.
Standing in front of his study, I place a knock at the door.
“Who is that?” His gruff tone comes from behind, causing a smile to form on my face.
“It’s me, professor,” I say in a tiny voice.
