Chapter 5

We decided to cook Bengali food today. So we cooked chicken Biryani, Jali Kabab, Chicken Tandoor, Fish Katlet, Gogur Mangsho Bhuna, ( It's a beef recipe which is very famous in Bangladesh) with salad.

I told her I will make the desert which she agreed. I decided to Make 'Dudh Puli'. I took out all the ingredients and started making Dudh Puli and Hazel helped me. It was already 1 pm when I finished making my desert. We had set the table and kept all the dishes on table.

I heard everyone was coming.  That means I could finally meet Hazel's two brothers and father.

Hazel's father Mr. Adrian Wilson entered in the dining room along with Aunt Anika. Aunt introduced me to him and I greeted him. He took my greetings and smiled at me. Uncle was really handsome man in his early 50s. He had brown hair and blue ocean eyes which I found really similar.

Where did I see those eyes? I thought to myself.  Uncle asked me about myself and my family. I answered him smiling. Uncle was also really friendly like everyone. He sat on the family's head chair and aunt sat beside him. I and Hazel sat side by side. Hazel's younger brother came and sat in front of me. His name was Aryan. And he had a pair of blue eyes and brown hair like his father. He was also really handsome boy. He was surely going to be a charmer and break many hearts. I thought. Hazel introduced us and we greeted each other and smiled. We were about to  start  eating when Uncle asked

"Where is Adeel?"

I also thought that.

" I called him and he said he is comi.." Aunt couldn't finish her word as Someone entered in the dining room.

"Oh look, here he is" Hazel said and smiled. I turned around to see the person. When my eyes met his Ocean eyes my eyes widened in shock.

What was he doing here?

"

"YOU?"

"YOU"?

We both yelled for the second time in 2 days in unison.

" What are you doing here?" I asked him scowling.

"This is my house that's why I'm here. What are you doing in my house?" He asked me angrily.

"Wait.. what? Your house?" I asked confused. Realisation had hit me hard and I looked at Hazel for confirmation. But she was looking at me confusedly so were the other.

I looked at the devil in front of me and my face paled.

" You are Hazel's brother Adeel?" I asked him shocked.

He just stared at me like I am a stupid.

" Yeah he is my elder son Adeel. Do you guys know each other?"

Aunt asked us confusedly. And everyone were looking at us and  waiting for our reply.

"Yes"

"No"

We both said in unison. And you guessed it right the later one was his word. Aunt looked at us confusedly.

"Enough, we will listen to this later. Now sit both of you and start the lunch." Uncle said to us amused.

What was so funny? I nonchalantly nodded and sat down on my chair.

God, where had I been  trapped.

My suspicion was right. That devil was actually Adeel and now two days in the same house as Satan? I was doomed. I'm sure he hated me enough to murder me. I just hope he would chose a less painful way to murder me.

No, no I couldn’t die. I was too innocent and cute to die early.

I  Need to sleep with one eye open. I shook my head to get rid of my stupid thoughts.  Adeel sat beside his brother and Everyone started  eating.

I felt a burning gaze on me and I didn't need to look up to know who was it. Because I already knew who was it. Obviously the devil. Suddenly Hazel nudged at me and I looked up at her.

" If I am not wrong Adeel is the guy you were talking about?" She whispered in my ear and I nodded at her. Her eyes widened but she kept quite and I smiled sheepishly at her.

" How do you guys know each other?" Aunt asked looking at me and Adeel.

I didn't know how to answer her. I couldn't just told her that her soon was about to kill me when I met him and dumped juice on my head and insulted me in front of the whole UV. That would break her heart and she might punish her son. Since me being the kindest soul didn’t want that to happen.

'You didn't leave him without a fight and for your information you were standing in the middle of the road and also threw water on his face' my subconscious spoke up and I instantly told her to shut up.

" We met at the college. Some girls were scaring him so I went there and help him out from his exes " I lied to her smoothly while smirking at the devil. Aunt's eyes went wide while Adeel got chocked on his food. He started  coughing while everyone laughed.

"You-" Adeel was about to yell at me when aunt had shut him up by saying

"Adeel you need to stop playing with those girls." The devil looked at his mom and scowled. He didn’t say anything instead he turned towards me and glared at me. I just smiled at him sweetly. Serves him right.

"Darling, taste the dessert. Ayra made it by herself" Aunt said to uncle with a smile and I smiled shyly at them. We all finished our lunch and took our dessert.

" It's so yummy. What is it's name?" Aryan asked me while enjoying his dessert.

" It's called 'Dudh Puli'. It is a Bengali dessert." I replied to him and he nodded.

Everyone praised me for the dessert except for the devil. He just kept eating and burning me with his heated gaze.

We all went to the living room and sat on the sofa. I was really enjoying here. Everyone was so friendly and warm. Obviously except the sweet cute Satan. He kept glaring at me but said nothing. And me being me happily returned his favor.

Aryan was really funny. We all excluding the Satan who was always busy on his phone played few  games.

It was 6 in the evening. I, Aryan and Hazel was playing ludo and aunt was in the kitchen preparing for dinner and uncle was in his study. Don't ask me where was the devil because I didn't know. He left from home 1 hour ago.

Suddenly the bell rang indicating that someone has came.

" I will go and check" Hazel said and went to open the door. She came back few seconds later but her jaw was clenched. She was angry.

Aryan asked who was it but she didn't reply instead sat down and joined the game. I was about to join but I saw Adeel came and behind him was Zeus.

Now I got it why was she angry. Adeel entered the room and told aunt that Zeus would be staying here. Listening to him Hazel stiffened. She looked at me and I told her it's ok. She nodded and calmed down.

Zeus came near us and sat beside us followed by Adeel. But he was typing on his phone.

" Hey, I am Zeus.  you? " Zeus introduced himself and asked about me

"Hi, I am Ayra" I replied to him and smiled at him.

" Wait,  aren’t you the same girl who threw water on Adeel's  face and taught him a lesson right?" Zeus asked while Laughing.

"WHAT" Aryan and Hazel exclaimed together.

Adeel's jaw clenched. He told Zeus to shut up but he just smiled devilishly at him.

I just smiled at them sheepishly.

" You guys don't know anything?" Zeus asked Aryan And Hazel and they shook their head in denial waiting for some juicy gossip.

Zeus then told them everything that happened in the university. Adeel was telling him to shut up while glaring at me but he just ignored him and told them everything. They both looked at me and I just gave them a innocent look. They looked at each other then started laughing so loudly clutching their stomach. I laughed with them too.

" That was epic and hilarious too" Aryan said between his laughter. Hazel nodded and s

"I did that because he deserved it. He was being a jerk." I said while giving the devil a nasty look.

His jaw clenched and he said

"Who do you think you are to call me a jerk? When you are a brainless bimbo."

"FIY I'm Ayra. Ayra Haque. I called you a jerk because you are one. And if you think people  with brains look like you then thanks I would love to be a brainless bimbo rather than a brainful jerk." I said to him angrily.

"You-" Adeel couldn’t finish his sentence as Zeus, Aryan and Hazel started to laugh loudly.

" I had missed the show Because of some monkey but now I'm watching it live" Hazel laughed.

Did I miss something here?

"As much as I remember you weren't there when all this happened. So how did you know?" I asked Zeus raising an eyebrow.

" I heard from my friends" he replied to me while laughing.

When I turned my head I saw Adeel was throwing daggers at my direction.

" You guys are impossible " Adeel  said and left from there not before giving a sweet glare. Jerk. They all laughed and we chatted for sometimes.Aunt called us for dinner and we all had our dinner.

We all gathered in the movie room as we wanted to watch some movie. Adeel protested first but Aryan and Zeus made him agree. 

" Let's sit on the floor, it will be fun" I said and they all agreed except Adeel. He found it stupid and disagreed but I ignored him. Hazel brought a mat and few pillows.  We had put the mat and set the pillows. We brought our chips, popcorns, ice cream and settled down on the mat.

"What do you guys want to watch? Zeus asked us.

I, Hazel and Aryan wanted to watch a horror movie as we planned but Adeel and Zeus wanted to watch action thriller  movie.

"It's final we are watching Fast and Furious" Adeel said and went to play it.

What? No I am not gonna watch that.

I hurriedly stood up and went to stop him.

"No we are watching The Nun' " I said to him and he glared at me.

"I said we are watching  Fast and Furious" He said and took out a DVD. I snatched it from his hand and took out The Nun. I turned around and said

"No, we are watching The Nun and It's final."

"No, we are no-" he couldn’t finish his words as I had cut him off

" Chup korba tumi? Sob somoy eto argue koro ken bacchader moto? Amra The Nun e dekhbo tai dekhle dekho ar na dekhle  soro ekhan theke. Jalao na.

(Will you shut up? Why do you keep arguing always like children? We will watch 'The Nun' only so if you want to watch then stay otherwise  move from here. Don't disturb) " I said to him and went to play the movie. I heard everyone laughing at him and teasing him about how I talked in Bangla to stop him.

He didn't say anything and went to sit. After playing the movie I went to take a seat. But to my utter horror the only seat available was between Adeel and Aryan. I quickly went there and sat down smiling at Aryan.

We started to watch the movie while eating. I noticed Adeel wasn't watching the movie instead he was busy on his phone. Without thinking anything I snatched the phone from his hand.

"What the f**k. Why did you snatch my phone" He whisper yelled at me.

"First of all don't curse. You were so busy on your phone that you weren't even watching the movie. We all are watching the movie so you should watch it too. At least maintain your manner" I spat at him. He just glared at me and turned his face to watch the movie.

Soon the movie turned Scary. I started to feel a little scared. I raised my hand  to take some chips from the packet but my hand landed on someone else's hand. I turned around and looked that Adeel was also reaching for the chips.

We looked into each others eyes and stared at each other. Blue into blue. My breathe hitched at our close proximity and I  felt exposed  under is his burning gaze. Our hand was still touching and his hand was so warm. He was still looking at me without blinking.
