Chapter 12 Hospital Again

I see Anna playing im the garden as i set the table.

Luka is situated right next to her doll house with some barbies on his lap, he watched her as she played and I see him acting like he is also one of the many dolls in his lap.

He turns to me and smiles at me before blowing me a kiss.

I just stand there watching them as I feel happiness full my insides.

This is my own family.

A mommy and daddy and a baby.

What more could I want.

Suddenly I see Anna crying and Luka is holding her in his arms and I see crowds of people surrounding them, I try to move but I can't... I watch as they dissappear amongst the crowd.

I cry and scream for Luka and Anna but to my dismay it's to late.

They are both gone and I'm left standing alone in the middle of the woods.

Its dark and raining.

I can't see anything but I can hear Anna crying.

I try to follow her cries but the more I move about the softer her crying became.

"No... Anna... Baby... I'm coming... Please..."

Suddenly I hear Luka calling my name.

"Maya... Babe... Maya.."

I opened my eyes and see Luka looking pale.

I don't know what came over me but I wrapped my arm around his waist.

He seems shocked at first but than slowly sat down and put me in his lap placing my head on his chest.

I listen to his heart beat.

Slowly it became calm.

I look up at the walls and realized I'm in the hospital.

"Wait... What happened... Where's Anna... Luka..."

He just pulled me into his chest again.

"Sssshhh... She is fine... You collapsed a few days ago at my parents house so I bought you to the hospital... You had me worried sick... Maya please... Just rest now okay..."

I can hear the love in his voice but than I remember the blond from school.

I instantly jumped of his lap and onto my bed.

He looked at me confused.

" Don't give me that look... You don't have the right to even be here... Not after everything you have done..."

He looks at me and I can see he isn't happy but he just sigh.

"Maya... I honestly don't know what to say... Ashley was just a fling... And I promise I only had s*x with her like 2 times... Maybe 3...but the point is..."

I cut him off.

"Luka... I don't care... You and me are done... And its not just that you slept with someone else, its the fact that you put me in harms way... Knowing we had a child you still..."

I break down.

He comes to hild me but I push him away.

"Just leave already... I am fine... And don't think I wont come for Anna..."

He looked at me on last time than he spoke again but we are interrupted by a familiar voice.

Nathan.

He walked in and before anyone could speak he punched Luka.

I watched as he fell to the ground.

" You bastard... You not only almost killed Maya but you even took away her child... And never told Nana... Your a sick ASSHOLE..."

He said and the anger in his voice scares me.

I get up and stop him before he could punch Luka again.

"Nathan... Stop... You don't know anything... Just stop..."

I grabbed his arm as he was getting ready to hit Luka.

He looks at me and than suddenly wrapped me in his arms.

"Maya I'm so sorry... I promise I won't leave ever again..."

I just stand there listening to him speak.

The hurt is evident on Luka's face.

He gets up and walks out before I could say anything.

I push Nathan away and head to my bed.

He walks behind me and tucked me in.

He softly strokes my hair before kissing the top of my head.

"I am sorry I came late... But like I said I won't leave you ever again... I promise..."

I closed my eyes as I listen to him talk.

The tears slowly fall on my pillow.

I don't know why bit seeing the pain on Luka's face as he left felt like my heart was literally being torn apart.

Whats wrong with me.

I slowly fall of to sleep.

I wake up to find Luka sitting by my bed with Anna sleeping in his lap.

I get up and pick her up.

"Mama..."

She said...

"Shhhh baby... Come lay with me.. Let daddy get some rest..."

I cover Luka with a blanket and than settle Anna in my arms next to me under the blanket on my bed.

She instantly falls back to sleep.

I watched her as she slept.

How beautiful she was.

She looked like me but I could see all of Luka's small traces on her face... His lips and his nose and even the small brown freckle on her left cheek just like her daddy's.

She was the perfect mixture of me and Luka.

I sat there thinking about everything he told me and everything I learned from others.

But things don't make sense.

Like if he loves me so much that he actually helped me hide Anna from my family and the world why would he let me get hurt by his fans..

I suddenly feel like the things I know aren't actually what it seems.

I just hope we can soon fix things,at least for Anna's sake.

I kissed her head than closed my eyes.

I drift of to sleep.

When I wake up Anna is still fast asleep in my arms.

I look over to Luka but he isn't there.

I feel kinds of disappointed.

And as if he could sense it he comes walking in with a plastic full of things.

"Hey Babe..."

I shush him pointing to a sleeping Anna.

He smiled than placed the plastic on the table and walked over to my side.

He kissed my head before moving Anna of my arm.

Like he had to take advantage of the situation.

He smiled than helped me get up.

We headed to the table by the window.

I sat down he than brought me a cup of tea and some sandwiches.

He placed them in front and f me than slowly packed out the rest of the things.

"Why are you here?"

He looked up at me than just gave me small sad smile.

"Well... I... Um... Anna... She was so sad the last few day... So I promised her to bring her to come see you... And well you was asleep so um..."

I don't let him finish.

"Okay... As long as it's not you... You know who... Wanted to see me..."

I see my words are hurting him.

But I can't help myself.

Again he just nodded and smiled.

I ate my food when the doctor came in.

"Aaa... Miss Maya... My famous Patient... How are you.. Good to see you up and eating..."

Its the same doctor who treated me when I was shot.

He looked at Luka.

Luka introduced himself to the doctor.

"Yes.. I know who you are but I didn't know you Knew Maya... And that well your her Fiance?...

He looks surprised.

And I can guess why.

The last time he saw me I didn't know anything.

Now I had a Fiance and he was famous...

Urg this day just got soooo wacky.

He smiled at me than asked to examine me.

I point to the sleeping child in the bed than he nods and examined me where i was sitting.

He looked at my charts than just wrote something and walked to the nurse before coming back to me.

"Well you seem fine but Maya your body hasn't fully recovered from the gun shots of earlier... So just take it easy and maybe we need to have a scan before you leave just to see the scaring on the inside is still okay..."

Luka looks like he just got the shock of his life.

" Wait what... Doctor... She was shot?... Why didn't I know... "

He turned to me and the disbelief is abundant.

" Maya... You... What the hell... I... I... "

He runs his hands over his head...

The doctor seems to see exactly what I saw.

He wasn't lieing about not knowing about all my injuries.

The doctor sat him down than showed him all my injuries in the report.

Luka turned Pale... I see the tears start rolling from his eyes.

He wiped them away but they kept coming.

I couldn't believe this...

He was acting like... A child...

Crying as if... He was hurt but what happened to me...

He looked up at me and instantly came to me wrapping his arms over my shoulders, kissed my hair and just held onto me.

He was now sobbing.

"I am sooo sorry... I... Didn't know... My baby... Im really such a fool... O god.... Why... How..."

I don't know why but I hold him and just listen to him.

He seems really upset at this news.

This was the answer my heart yearned for.

Luka was Innocent.

This was the proof.
