KIARA’S POINT OF VIEW
One of the boys had his eyes fixated on me and I felt like a mouse trapped in the net. Azazel told me that Samael and his friends shared none of the classes with me and it was arranged in that way for my safety. But now it seems like the devil’s son had other plans.
“What are you people doing here?”
The teacher asked, her expression all annoyed. She clearly doesn’t like anyone interrupting her class, even if it’s Lucifer’s son or the Principal’s son.
“We got a change of schedule and the Administration lady asked us to come her.”
A golden blonde haired boy came forward and extended a piece of paper to the teacher. She took it and wet her lips, concentrating on the words written.
“But you are already in the Advanced Sins class? Why do you need basics again?”
The piercing pair of eyes instantly moved to mine again, and for the first time, we faced each other with our identities disclosed. He was Samael, and there was no need for any introduction. His orbs were pitch black, and it penetrated through my blue ones with intangible intensity. His face was sculpted like that of a Greek God and the raven hair made his face look more pale. Samael’s lips were set in a thin line, but it turned into a smirk after seeing me.
“We have our reasons, Mrs. Rolanda. So can we get in?”
I recognized his voice immediately as the one who stopped Keres yesterday. Is he playing another game, since yesterday was a flop? His aura was getting stronger after each passing second but I had no where to run.
“There is no space for all of you. So, Leviathan and Asmodeus, go take four chairs and tables from the store room.”
Mrs. Rolanda said, urging the troublemakers to settle fastly, so that she can continue with her class.
”Actually take three, Asmodeus. One is already vacant."
My heart sank to my stomach as I noticed the empty seat next to me. This shouldn’t be happening to me after everything I have trained myself for. I am not prepared for this situation and I highly doubt Azazel would come to my rescue. He probably has no idea what is happening.
The brown-haired boy saluted and disappeared with another guy, whom I am assuming is Leviathan. Samael and the other boy, Damien, made their way towards me like a predator walking towards its prey. And I am the prey!
Presumably, Samael would sit next to me and make the rest of my class a living hell. Or maybe he has something else in mind; like hurting me physically? I hope not. Or perhaps he would try to befriend me by being my partner. That way he will have more time with me and to study my character.
But to my surprise, Samael just stood next to the wall and Damien placed his bag on my table. What is their intention? The other students were thoroughly entertained by the soapy opera and the row of students next to me began to drag their seats forward on Samael’s demand, so that exactly three chairs can be accommodated in the back.
Soon Leviathan and Asmodeus came in, creating too much noise with the furnitures and it took them almost seven minutes to settle down. How do I know exactly? Well, all this while I was staring at my watch, trying to avoid the glare directed by the demon leaning on the wall. He wanted me to look at him again, but I will not make the mistake twice. He can stare at the back of my head for all I care.
“Are you done?”
Mrs. Rolanda asked in such a way that she expected only a ‘yes’ for an answer. Asmodeus gave a thumps up and grinned at the teacher, unaffected by her foul mood. He was sitting on the edge, next to Damien, leaving a walkable space in between. Next to him was Leviathan, who already took out the dangerous device that my brothers warned me about and began to swipe on its screen aggressively. Samael had his head down and was facing the wall, which made me relax a little. At least he wasn’t drilling holes in me with his uncomfortable gaze.
My attention went back to the thing on Leviathan’s hand. It emitted an unpleasant light and although I couldn’t see what was in it properly, there were moving pictures inside the box and I wondered if it will come out suddenly. I was so engrossed in that item that I didn’t notice the movement next to me until Damien’s bitter face covered my line of vision.
“What? You haven’t seen a mobile phone before?”
He mocked and looked at me with amusement. However, his expression soon changed after realising that his guess was right.
“Really?”
I shook my head and curved my lips upwards, so as to make him think that I am smiling, but it should probably look awkward for him.
“How do you communicate in heaven then?”
I can sense his aura, and he was actually curious about our communication process.
“We talk orally. And if it’s long distance, then we send doves with letters.”
Damien had a surprise look in his eyes and he played with the pen, deep in thought.
“So you have no idea what a phone is? Do you want to use one?”
He took out the similar looking box from his pocket and handed to me enthusiastically. I jumped back a little, afraid that it will latch onto me. Johnathan have already warned me that it was dangerous than most of the devils and here he was, giving it to me casually.
“No, thank you. I don’t have anyone to contact here and my family doesn’t have one of these. So I am fine.”
Damien bit his lips in hilarity and I realized that he was actually an attractive guy, with his golden coloured hair and green eyes. But I knew better than not to trust just my eyes. His energy was extremely sinful, and he was capable of killing anyone without feeling a slightest of remorse.
“Your wings were cute by the way.”
Okay! So that was why he was here. To know about my personal details. I think they were also intimidated by my unusual wings and they must have chosen Damien to get information about them since he was easy on the eyes and friendly. Did they take seriously take me for an innocent fool?
“Thank you for your compliment. You are cute too.”
He looked taken aback by my pleasant words, and I could see his aura darkening. Now what?
“Cute? Do I look cute to you?”
What is so wrong with being cute? Was it not good? Did cute have another meaning in hell? He advanced towards me slowly and I had my hands on the pouch inside my bag. He may attack me anytime soon and I should be prepared. First day of the school and I am already about to use my safety weapons.
“Will you say the same after I...”
His growling was interrupted by the ring of bell, and Damien looked down immediately. I bet his eyes are glowing red now. Without waiting for the teacher to dismiss the class, Damien took his bag and walked out of the classroom with his friends running after him. Should I be relieved or cautious?

SAMAEL’S POINT OF VIEW
“She f*****g called me cute. Cute! I would have killed that b***h by now if it wasn’t for the bell. How dare she?”
Asmodeus was laughing his a** off, while Leviathan just smiled. For me, it was just another interesting show. Damien was supposed to be the epitome of manliness in our school, and even so many guys were trying to copy his hunkiness. And there she was, calling him cute. No wonder he stormed out of the class as if he wanted to fight with a bulldozer.
As I was leaving the class room earlier, I saw the confused look in Kiara’s eyes and it was making the situation all the more funny. She did not know what she did wrong to unpin his anger grenade.
“You are really good for nothing, Dam. You were so confident while volunteering to be the spy and look how it ended.”
Leviathan said, making Asmodeus and me laugh again. I suggested Asmodeus for befriending Kiera, since he was the least sinister filled among us. But Damien ruled it out, saying she would doubt his intention, especially if she comes to know that Keres was his girlfriend and we all thought he had a point. But never in my life I imagined Damien’s pride to be hurt by a mere Angel and that too by addressing him as ‘cute’.
“What next?”
Leviathan asked once we all settled, and reality struck us again.
“I will go next. I promise I will do far better than Damien.”
Asmodeus bowed down and avoided his frustrated best friend. The next class was History and I hope Mr. Zakiel won’t ruin our plan. After all, he was Azazel’s right hand in school.
