SAMAEL’S POINT OF VIEW
I bit my lips to prevent the huge grin from showing as I saw Kiera glaring at me with annoyance. I knew my technique was a little cliché and old school, but I was quite desperate and needed to get close to her somehow.
What Leviathan said was a huge strike to my pride, and I have been restless ever since that day. Making her fall for me is the only way for me to regain my wounded image, and I am ready to play any dirty tricks to achieve it.
Pursuing Mrs. Rolanda was harder than I imagined, as she was scared that Azazel would come to know about it and suspend her for teaming up with me. However, I confirmed to her that she wouldn’t have to face any such problems since my grades were above average and its only normal for teachers to assign tutors to help weak students. So there was technically no proper proof to take disciplinary actions against her. I double checked that Mr. Zekiel was not in the room before Kiera arrived and everything was going well as planned.
“Ma’am, I appreciate your kindness but I don’t think…”
“Well, if you appreciate it, then good. Now leave. It is time for the next class.”
I could see Kiera gritting her teeth at the old woman, who just collected her things and literally ran out of the teacher’s room.
“What a coincidence. We meet again.”
I said, plastering the fakest smile I could come up with. But the dead look Kiera gave me caught me off guard. She was… hot?
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Whatever game you are playing, stop it, Samael. I can see right through you.”
Okay! She is super pissed and my first instinct was to lash out at her for assuming that she could read me and for stopping myself from thinking that she looks damn attractive with her blue orbs blazing in anger. However, I just gripped the table’s end near me and smiled at her grimly.
“There seems to be a misunderstanding. You think I did it purposefully?”
I tried to be as genuine as possible, but Kiera scoffed as if she was certain that I was lying. Overconfident b***h.
I cleared my throat and walked towards the notice board before taking down a paper from it, all the while cursing her in my mind. Once I get the mission done, I will make her suffer.
I handed the paper to Kiera and waited her for her to read it. The paper contained the rank list for the last semester and my name was on the top in bold letters, followed by my friends’. Her eyes skipped through the words, and I saw them widening in shock. That’s what I thought, stupid.
“Now you know why she chose me, right? So stop assuming things and wait in the library during lunch break. Don’t forget to bring your schedule, a notepad and pen.”
Saying that, I left without a good bye and made a bee line to the gym. The sand bag is the only thing that could help me release some stress before I meet her again.

KIARA’S POINT OF VIEW
I plodded to my locker, my mind buzzing with thoughts. The entire tutoring thing was unsettling, as he had every eligibility to be one, but his aura was definitely not welcoming. Although his energy was normally dark, it was even darker, and I knew that something was up.
“Did that grey haired hag scold you?”
I was startled to hear Keres right next to me and sighed, which seemed to be my recent favorite gesture.
“No, it would have been better if she just shouted at me for talking in class. This is so much worse, Ker.”
……………………
“I don’t think it is that bad.”
“I know, right. Wait, what? How can you even say that?”
We were sitting on the bench outside the library, waiting for the bell to ring for lunch. We had the last class free, and I filled in Keres about everything during that time. She silently heard it all, and I thought she would react the same way as me, but it was opposite.
“Samael might be a total a*****e, but he has a computer for a brain. He always excels in exams, and according to my ex, he is an amazing teacher. Leviathan studies well too, but not as much the devil prince. Not only does he comes top every time, he is also adamant to help his friends. However, he teaches no one other than those idiots. So even if it is supposed to be a trap for you, if you use the opportunity properly, then we both might benefit from it. You learn from him and then teach me. Besides, he won’t be able to touch you and if he does something else, then use those arrows.”
I never thought that Samael was so studious, but since he is, what Keres suggested made perfect sense. It would be actually helpful if someone explains to me all the solutions and problems, other than the written notes and maybe I can gain more from this arrangement than losing. Although I have no idea what his intention is, I am going to take a chance and fight for it.
“Ker, can you buy me two cans of soft drink.”

SAMAEL’S POINT OF VIEW
“All the best, bro.”
Damien called out from behind, and I just raised my hand as a reply, without turning back. I was certain that the arrogant witch won’t either show up or just come a few minutes before the last bell, rambling excuses on why she was late. Why was I doing this gain? Right, my damaged pride.
I took my time to get to the library and went straight to the secluded area. Angel’s section was the only part of the building that she visits and that now that Kiera was here, they no longer locked this place. I pushed open the partially closed door and breathed in a lungful of air that was filled with the scent of old books.
“You are seven minutes late.”
I jumped back in horror, hitting my back on the rack and causing several books to fall down. I was too stunned to feel the embarrassment immediately as I saw Kiera burst out in laughter, clutching her stomach for support.
My breath hitched in my throat on seeing her cheerful face glowing in the natural light, and her angelic voice made my heart race like it was taking part in a marathon. I had the sudden urge to feel that smile with my lips and my mind began imagining things I would never admit openly, not even to myself. S**t, I had to get a grip on myself, but it was easier said than done, as I couldn’t stop staring at her. I wasn’t even blinking for hell’s sake.
“I never thought you were so easy to scare.”
She said in between giggles and paced towards me, making me move back a little. I was afraid that I would lose control and say something I will regret for the rest of my life. She bent down near to me and picked up the books before arranging it back on the shelf.
“Were you waiting for me?”
I asked, hoping that my voice didn’t shake. F**k, I hate my body.
“Of course. Here.”
Kiera took two cans of soda from her sling bag and handed one to me. I eyed at it and gripped on the cold metal, not daring to look in her eyes. This isn’t what I was expecting.
“I brought a table and two chairs with the librarian’s permission. Come on.”
She smiled at me before walking forward, and I placed my hand over my crazy heart. I am screwed.
