SAMAEL’S POINT OF VIEW We were walking through the pine trees that separated the forest from the fields, and I could sense Kiara’s stiff shoulders and labored breaths. Our steps were slow as it was difficult to walk through the unstable ground in heels, but she never complained. I had a picnic basket in my hand and I could see curiosity filling her eyes as she watched me taking it out of the trunk.
