The book took awhile to translate after I had read it, but the story was worth it. It began with two friends, both witches. They had livedin a land where woman weren’t meant to be powerful. Only to live in silence and subservience. They both rejected their society leaving that world to make one of their own. They lived together, learning herbs and their uses. As they got older and more knowledgable, one of the friends wanted to share her knowledge with the world. The other, scared of what they had come from warned their friend against it. Telling them that the world wouldn’t like it, wouldn’t want the knowledge. The first friend didn’t care, wanting more then nothing then to help those around her.
