“Evanne!” My aunt yelled the minute she came into the hospital room. She flung towards me, encapturing me in a giant hug.
“Aunt you’re choking me” I squealed in her grasp. She loosened her grip, allowing me to breathe, but remaining close to me.
“What happened? We were looking all over for you!” Her eyes were red and puffy from crying.
“I am sorry. I accidentally fell into the water.” I replied, not wanting to tell the whole truth. My aunt noticed my lie but didn’t question further.
“You sure you’re okay?” She asked again. I nodded in reply. She had come in with Eric, who was content with watching not wanting to get in on my Aunt’s giant’s hug.
“I am sorry I made you worry,” I said, to both my Aunt and Eric.
“Don’t ever do that again!” My aunt replied hysterically.
