Who said that I could escape without anyone noticing me? I was deceiving myself. Every eye immediately came to me as soon as I stood up to make my escape but I lifted my chin in the air like the princess I was, I refused to back down but instead, I kept on moving in the direction of the door I had my heart set upon. Thankfully, no one tried to intercept me. They all moved out of the way for me instead. It was such a nice feeling, being a princess.
Relief rushed through me as soon as I got to the door, opened it and got out onto the balcony. I released a deep sigh as the cold and gentle breeze hit me. I wrapped my arms around myself as I shivered.
After a few seconds of just standing there, I walked to rest my hands on the rails so I could look down at the people littered everywhere. Up
