My body felt so tired and my mouth was dry. What happened? I stay still as I try to become acquainted with my surroundings. While my body was still mostly numb, I could feel the rub of rope against my wrists which were bound behind my back. No amount of numbness could completely erase the ache in my shoulders from being put in this unnatural position.
