The next morning, I woke up to find it was already 10 a.m.
Eddy, hearing me wake up, rushed out of the closet.
"Darling, you're finally awake! I was about to call 911 if you didn't wake up soon."
"Why so worried?" I asked.
"Last night, you suddenly collapsed on the bed. No matter how much I called you or tried to wake you, you didn't respond. I thought you had fainted. But then you started snoring, which made me relieved. It seems you were just exhausted." He gave me a playful wink and a grin. "You don't know how charming you were last night."
I managed a tired, forced smile. "I think I had a nightmare."
He nodded. "Yes, you did. You woke up screaming. It must have been a terrible nightmare. But don't worry. I promise it won't come back tonight." He kissed my hair and went back into
